Role Description

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join the embedded Admissions service, where you will be a vital part of the student recruitment effort. You will be the first point of contact for all course enquiries and applications, ensuring they are appropriately handled and fulfilled. This includes the review and assessment of applications against university entry criteria and working with academic tutors to reach admission decisions. You will also ensure that accurate offers are produced and communicated to prospective students.

A key part of the role is taking a personal and hands-on approach with each prospective student ensuring that they receive a first-class admission experience. The role also supports wider recruitment activities such as student ambassador telephone campaigns as well as sending out communications to prospective students to keep them updated about the university. You will support the wider work of the university at major events such as Open Days, Registration and Graduation.

About You

This is a busy and varied role requiring a keen attention to detail and the ability to work quickly and accurately. There will be frequent contact with admission tutors, prospective students, and sponsors, so you will have excellent customer service and interpersonal skills. Much of the work is computer based, so IT literacy, experience of using databases and the web is essential.
