Applications are invited for the post of Lecturer in Health Studies for the new BSc in Health Studies course starting September 2023. You will be part of a highly interdisciplinary team in the new and unique Department of Health Studies at Royal Holloway University of London. 

Royal Holloway is establishing an exciting new Department of Health Studies and are building up a team to deliver the planned courses. You will be joining an already established small interdisciplinary team of health professionals in both human and environmental health who are highly experienced academics and researchers. You will also have the opportunity to grow your networks through our global advisory board and through highly established research centres through the School of Life Sciences and the Environment. 

The candidate will have a strong academic background in the field of Public Health or Health and Social Care, with particular experience and interest in working with students in placements. They will have an impressive portfolio of past teaching experience and practice as relevant to their professional role.  They will be able to demonstrate knowledge and experience in teaching, learning and assessment. 

The courses are closely aligned with the Planetary Health Alliance Education Framework (https://www.planetaryhealthalliance.org/education-framework), with which the candidate will be expected to be familiar. The candidate will also be required to module lead and support students in their dissertations.
