The Department of Cultural and Religious Studies invites applications for an Assistant Professorship in Cultural Studies. Applicants should have a PhD degree in cultural studies, cultural management, arts and humanities, or other related fields. Preferred areas of expertise include, but are not limited to, cultural policies, museum studies (focusing on preservation and conservation of heritage materials), archival studies, community arts, and digital creativity. Applicants should be familiar with the cultural landscape and development in Hong Kong and China.

Appointed candidate will be expected to teach primarily for the MA Programme in Cultural Management.

Appointment will initially be made on contract basis (i.e. non-tenured) for up to two years commencing August 2023, renewable subject to budget, performance and mutual agreement.
