This is a 3-year convertible academic position available immediately.

An exciting academic opportunity exists for a Senior Lecturer with experience in occupational therapy learning, teaching and research to join the School of Allied Health Science and Practice within the Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences.

The successful candidate will be a passionate academic with demonstrated teaching and research experience in occupational therapy. They will have experience developing and delivering innovative approaches to undergraduate occupational therapy teaching and assessment as well as an established track record of research outputs, with both national and international impact. The successful candidate will be adaptable, flexible and able to teach students across all years of the 4-year Bachelor of Occupational Therapy (Honours) programs, while contributing to the overall quality of the student experience.

To be successful you will need:

  • Doctoral degree relevant to Occupational Therapy or equivalent experience;
  • Registration (or eligible for registration) as an Occupational Therapist within Australia;
  • A record of academic achievement of national standing through significant contributions, including academic leadership, to the scholarship of teaching, research, innovation or professional activity;
  • Comprehensive knowledge of contemporary occupational therapy gained through industry experience and/or scholarly activities or similar, including cultural responsiveness and cultural safety.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead others in the delivery of high-quality course and subject design, and in the delivery of high-quality student-centred learning and teaching at an undergraduate level, that includes the capacity to incorporate new technologies and new approaches to teaching and learning;
