About the opportunity
Southern Cross University’s Faculty of Health provides an exciting and innovative multi-disciplinary learning environment working with individuals, families and communities in order to meet their health needs and requirements. The Faculty is seeking a Lecturer in Social Work to contribute to the Master and Bachelor of Social Work degrees through a student-centered teaching practice and contribute to the coordination and teaching of field education units.
Your core responsibilities will include:
- Undertake Work Integrated Learning (Placements) tasks;
- Undertake relevant community and professional engagement that support and enhance the University and Faculty’s profile and priorities; and
- Actively engage in the scholarship of teaching through reflective practice and engagement in professional activities.
About you
The successful applicant will possess a PhD in a social work or a related discipline and post-qualifying social work practice experience. Applicants must be eligible for, or have current, membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers.
Additionally, you will have:
- Demonstrated experience teaching and designing innovative curricula at a tertiary level;
- Experience developing online educational programs incorporating technologies that enhance teaching and learning; and
- A track record of research, as evidenced by grants, publication output and supervision of research students.

Salary and benefits

This position is:
- Full-time, continuing (permanent)
- Located at either Gold Coast or Lismore. Generous relocation support available.
- Academic Level B. The base salary ranges from $101,544 - $120,179 per annum, plus 17% employer’s contribution to superannuation. The total remuneration package is up to $140,609.
