The ESRC funded project will investigate three questions: i) how are firms adapting skill and innovation strategies to harness digital technologies (DTs) for productivity growth?; ii) how do DT-induced changes in collaborations with external organisations contribute to skill, innovation and productivity gains?; and iii) what are the automation and augmentation effects of DTs, and how are they distributed within the firm?

The project will be hosted and managed at King’s Business School (King’s College London), one of the academic partner institutions of The Productivity Institute, and is one of a cluster of projects exploring human capital and productivity (see   https://www.productivity.ac.uk/research/themes/human-capital/ for more information).

The Research Associate will be managed by the two Principal Investigators, Professors Marcela Miozzo and Damian Grimshaw at King’s College London. The RA will also join the network of RAs, PhDs and other academics working on projects funded by the ESRC Productivity Institute.

You should hold a PhD in the field of management (employment, innovation and/or strategy) and have a track record of conducting qualitative research and delivering presentations at academic conferences.

This ESRC funded post will be offered on a fixed-term contract for 24 months.
