The Penny W. Stamps School of Art & Design at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, invites applications for an assistant professor position in art and design, open to any medium or discipline. We are looking for candidates engaged in experimental and innovative art, design, and/or community practices with at least one area of expertise working in 2D, 3D, or 4D. You should have an active track record as a creative maker in those area(s) and a strong understanding of the discourse in contemporary art and/or design, allowing you to teach both in our undergraduate and graduate programs. Special consideration will be given to applicants who are open to collaborative/interdisciplinary teaching, research, and creative projects within the Stamps School, with other academic units, or with the community beyond.

Please note: Applicants with additional qualifications and experience would be considered for employment at higher ranks.
