As a University of Applied Learning, SIT works closely with industry in our research pursuits. Our research staff will have the opportunity to be equipped with applied research skill sets that are relevant to industry demands while working on research projects in SIT.

As part of the 5G TransLab @SIT, we are looking for a research fellow or research engineer to conduct R&D in 5G, develop application and use case-specific solutions to support 5G innovation, in collaboration with industry partners.

Key Responsibilities:

• Solution architecture specification, system engineering, system integration, and solution innovation for 5G-eneabled applications and use cases
• System design specification, performance testing and validation specification
• Support performance testing and validation with the modeling and simulation platform, and the 5G testbed
• Project scoping and management of industry collaboration projects with Principal Investigator (PI), Co-PI and team members to ensure all project deliverables are met.
• Engage and supervise students with suitable related project scope for their design projects.
• Work independently, as well as within a team, to ensure proper operation and maintenance of tools and equipment.

Job Requirements:

• Strong background and knowledge of wireless communication systems and networks;
• No less than 5 years’ working experience in system engineering, system architecture, hardware/software integration, and end-to-end performance testing
• Familiar with 4G/5G standards, systems and devices
