Laboratory Introduction

The principal investigator Dr. Yisheng He received PhD degree from The Chinese University of Hong Kong in 2018. Thereafter he had postdoctoral training and was later promoted to a Research Assistant Professor at School of Biomedical Sciences, The Chinese University of Hong Kong. In the Chinese University of Hong Kong-Shenzhen, our group focus on the safety issues of drugs and environmental toxins. Our research objectives are to delineate the cellular and molecular basis for the mode-of-action of environmental/natural/chemical toxins, develop and translate chemical-based or genome-based molecular biomarkers for clinical and public health use to identify human diseases related to drug misuse or natural toxin exposure, profile pharmacokinetics of therapeutic biologics and toxicokinetics of natural/chemical toxins, and utilize modeling and simulation approaches to optimize precision risk assessment/prediction on safety issues of drugs and environmental toxins.

Job Description

Applicants should have:

The ideal candidate will hold a bachelor’s or master’s degree, have prior research experience in Pharmacology, Toxicology, or Cell Biology. Highly motivated individuals with strong background in drug metabolism and pharmacokinetics, drug safety, and toxicology are encouraged to apply. The applicants with advanced techniques of drug metabolism and pharmacokinetic investigation, animal surgery skills, and analytical omics (metabolomics, proteomics) are desirable.

Job Duties include:

  1. Conduct academic research under the guidance of the PI of the research group;
  2. Other academic and managing tasks assigned by the PI.

Salary and Fringe Benefits

Salary will be comparable to international standards, commensurate with experience and accomplishments. Appointments will be made under the establishment of CUHK-Shenzhen, and employee benefits will be provided according to the relevant labor laws of Mainland China as well as CUHK-Shenzhen regulations.
