About the Role

The College of Business, Government and Law are currently seeking applicants for either Lecturers (Level B) or Senior Lecturers (Level C).

As a Lecturer, you will deliver inspiring and innovative teaching across the suite of Law topics and courses in the College of Business, Government and Law, with a particular focus on Corporate & Business law. You will bring your leadership and expertise to provide student support, academic counselling, and professional advice to students concerning their studies, professional development, and career opportunities. You will make an independent contribution to the review, renewal, development and design of courses that aim to attract new cohorts of students, nurture creativity and exercise critical-thinking skills. Your extensive professional experience and involvement in senior roles in clinical practice will aid your collaboration and partnerships with industry partners.

Senior Lecturers will be responsible for providing leadership and direction related to teaching involving the creation, delivery, and continuous quality improvement of university-level education. You will also be an educational leader through the dissemination of best practice, ensuring awareness and utilisation of contemporary education principles and contributing to the College’s leadership activities, including committees and working groups.

About You

Holding a PhD in a relevant field or equivalent clinical/professional experience and standing in relevant field, you will be experienced in the enhancement  of student success including implementing initiatives to enhance retention and to facilitate their employability.

  • To be considered as a Lecturer (Level B) you will demonstrate: A proven capacity to perform quality curriculum development and reviews, including evidence of reflection of practice.
  • Evidence of having independent and innovative contributions to teaching and the scholarship of teaching at the discipline level inclusive clinical/professional education.
  • An understanding of the nexus between teaching and learning, research, and scholarship

To be considered as a Senior Lecturer (Level C) you will demonstrate:

  • A proven record of outstanding leadership in teaching and the scholarship of teaching at the discipline level.
  • Significant and sustained evidence of leadership in the development, delivery and evaluation of innovative teaching and learning strategies both in the classroom and in clinical/professional education.
  • Experience in a leadership role in outstanding curriculum development and teaching methodology for topics/ courses in discipline area.
  • As a Clinical Practitioner and Teaching Specialist you will hold relevant and extensive contemporary clinical/ professional experience at a senior level in a relevant field.
