Massey University's Library services provide teaching and research support services across our three campuses and to our large community of distance and online learners. We provide and enrich access to Te Ao Mātauranga (the world of knowledge) to advance excellence in scholarship and to achieve the goals of Massey University.
Applications are now invited for the role of Associate Campus Librarian (AUL).
About the role
Based in Palmerston North, the AUL - Client Services is a key member of the Library's senior leadership team, providing strategic leadership of all client services across the University's three libraries. This position has a dual role as Manawatū campus librarian, ensuring the provision of the best possible services, resources, and facilities to meet the learning, teaching, and research needs of Manawatū campus users. As the AUL Client Services, you will assist with workforce planning, help lead change, and deputise for the University Librarian. You will also be closely involved in an exciting project which will transform the Manawatū Library building.
What we are looking for
The successful applicant will have the following:
- Proven ability to think and plan strategically
- Ability to employ technology to provide or enhance services
- Experience in leading and implementing change in complex environments
- Demonstrated skills in building collaborative relationships, managing and developing staff with warmth and respect
- Excellent understanding of service development in information literacy and research support in an increasingly online environment
- Minimum of five years experience in library management, supported by a University Degree and Postgraduate Library Qualifications
