We intend to strengthen our research impact in Commercial Law through the appointment of a Professor with a significant track record in contributing to REF research impact. We are looking for a dynamic scholar who is keen to join and provide leadership in a vibrant, diverse, and progressive global law School.

Successful candidates will have a PhD in Law or equivalent professional qualifications and experience. They will have an international track record of published research in commercial law broadly defined.

Successful candidates will be expected to make an all-round contribution to education and research delivery in the School. You will be committed to high quality research, be prepared to lead on strategies to improve the quality of research outputs from the School, and to building a vibrant student experience and community. Visible and collegiate, you will be expected to contribute to all aspects of the School’s activities including student recruitment and outreach.

Research in the Law School currently clusters around a number of research centres including those for People, Property and Community, Private and Commercial Law (PCL); Maritime Law (IML); Law; International Law and Globalisation; Global Constitutionalism, Law and Technology and the Stefan Cross Centre for Women, Equality and Law. Colleagues are also involved in individual and collaborative scholarship in numerous other fields, often inter-disciplinary.
