Senior Lecturer or Reader (T&R) in Cancer Biology / Pharmacology

Grade 9: £53,353 - £61,823 p.a. / Reader: £63,673 p.a.
Applications are invited for the above exciting, full-time permanent post working in the School of Medical and Health Sciences, Bangor University, available on a teaching and research track. Candidates should possess a Ph.D. in a subject area relevant to cancer biology and pharmacology and a track record of attracting external funding to support research in a subject area relevant to cancer biology or pharmacology. Candidates should also have relevant postdoctoral or equivalent experience.
The successful candidate will have a track record of world-leading or internationally excellent publications in their subject area. They will benefit from access to our state of the art laboratory facilities here at Bangor, and synergise where possible with cancer biology, drug discovery and pharmacogenomics initiatives within the School to further develop their demonstrable research success in a dynamic, thriving research environment. The recent Research Excellence Framework results indicate that 95% of our research outputs are internationally-excellent or world-leading.
The post-holder will also contribute to driving the success of undergraduate and postgraduate degree programmes, including formal taught modules, small study groups and co-ordination/delivery of Masters research projects. The successful candidate will be expected to commence as soon as possible.
