Job Description:

The School of Nursing & Midwifery at Queen’s University Belfast, is currently seeking to appoint an exceptional candidate to the post of Research Fellow . The successful candidate will maintain and support the Northern Ireland Cerebral Palsy Register (NICPR) in relation to data collection, management and analysis. The postholder will contribute to NICPR patient and public involvement activities and writing of publications and research proposals

The successful candidate must have, and your application should clearly demonstrate you have: 

  • A primary or masters degree in a health-related subject or mathematics/statistics
  • Have, or be about to obtain, a relevant PhD eg, epidemiology, public health, applied statistics or health related subjects that include a substantive quantitative data analysis component
  • At least 3 years relevant research experience and skills relevant to this project e.g. database management, statistical analysis of health data
  • Experience in management and analyses of large quantitative datasets (using relevant software e.g. SPSS or STATA).

This post is fixed term until 13 November 2023. Fixed term contract posts are available for the stated period in the first instance but in particular circumstances may be renewed or made permanent subject to availability of funding.
