About the opportunity
The Project Coordinator will develop, implement, and manage widening participation and outreach projects, particularly the residential programs events that bring thousands of students, parents, and teachers to the University campuses each year that are designed to increase participation in higher education at the University of Sydney of students from identified cohorts; Low Socio-Economic (Low SES); regional and remote and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander backgrounds.
The Project Coordinator will be responsible for providing high-level project management to multiple work streams within a multi-faceted program of work, including establishing project teams, developing, and implementing plans with contingencies, conducting risk management, creating training, and delivering educational and outreach models, managing project budgets, and preparing evaluation reports.
Due to the nature of the seasonality of workflow there will be a need to work flexibly throughout the year and there may be leave restrictions applied during peak periods.

- previous experience managing large scale, complex events positioned for vulnerable cohorts
- well-developed interpersonal skills and the ability to build and maintain relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders
- can demonstrate an understanding of the project lifecycle whilst sustaining a high level of planning and project management
- exhibits high attention to detail across competing deadlines
- excellent computer skills across a range of applications, including sound general knowledge of databases and record keeping
- ability to meet strict deadlines with attention to detail and adherence to budget.
