About the opportunity
As the Administration Officer in the International and Domestic Fees teams, you will act as the first point of inquiry for student fees from both internal and external stakeholders. You will be working in a small and collegial team, this role will give you an opportunity to adapt a proactive approach to problem solving and process improvement in relation to student fees.
In this role, you will operate in a high volume environment, advising students and stakeholders of fee and payment information and assessing and processing a variety of applications whilst applying relevant legislation, policies and guidelines.
Your key responsibilities will be to:
- provide exceptional administrative support to the team whilst ensuring high quality outcomes
- respond to a wide range of complex enquiries, including enquiries regarding student fee debt collection, and provide advice to staff, students and visitors
- resolve fees and scholarship related matters with discretion, tact and diplomacy
- apply experience and knowledge of university's policies and procedures when communicating with stakeholders and
- coordinate payment and invoice management of fees and scholarship related processes producing relevant reports for authorization

- has demonstrated experience working in a high volume, customer centric environment
- demonstrates an ability to solve complex customer inquiries
- demonstrates a track record of suggesting process improvements in a professional setting
- is available to work during peak periods, including end of year shut down.

Australian Temporary Residents currently employed at the University of Sydney may be considered for a fixed term contract for the length of their visa, depending on the requirements of the hiring area and the position.
