Asia-Pacific Institute of Ageing Studies (APIAS) of Lingnan University is inviting applications for a position of Postdoctoral Fellow to produce high-quality publications and support grant submissions, especially in the areas of informal carers and ageing in place.

The appointee is expected to

  1. conduct systematic literature review;
  2. analyze and report quantitative and qualitative data;
  3. prepare manuscripts for publication;
  4. prepare grant proposals;
  5. provide academic advice and supervising student projects, and
  6. support the research and community projects of the institute occasionally.

General Requirements

Applicants should

  1. have a relevant Doctoral degree;
  2. have good knowledge and experiences in conducting qualitative and quantitative research projects;
  3. have excellent writing proficiency in English and Chinese;
  4. have good organizational and time management skills;
  5. be self-motivated, responsible, attentive to details, and
  6. be able to write up research work for publications.


The conditions of appointment will be competitive. Remuneration will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Fringe benefits include annual leave, medical and dental benefits, mandatory provident fund and incoming passage and baggage allowance for the eligible appointees. Appointment will normally be made on contract basis for up to 12 months.
