Applications are invited for a 2-year fixed term post (0.5 FTE) of an Ensemble Manager - UCD Choral Scholars within UCD College of Arts and Humanities.

The Ensemble Manger, Choral Scholars is an administrative and support role for the activities of Ireland's leading collegiate choral ensemble, the Choral Scholars of UCD. This unique scholarship programme broadens the experience of students at UCD, connecting them to audiences across the world through live and recorded performance. With a classical focus and an inspiration found in the music and literature of Ireland, the ensemble's repertoire ranges from contemporary choral music to the reimagining of Irish traditional song. Choral Scholar members serve as ambassadors for UCD, representing the best of Ireland and its distinct culture.

Working with the Artistic Director, the Ensemble Manager will build on the international success to date of the UCD Choral Scholars. Objectives:

  1. Support the Artistic Director by developing a professional ensemble administration structure for the ensemble.
  2. Assist the Artistic Director in developing an annual schedule of performances, recordings and tours.
  3. Recruit talented singers to the ensemble, in liaison with the Artistic Director.
  4. Support fundraising activities.
  5. Liaise with the Ensemble's music-business Managers and other associated partners to further the aims of the Artistic Director and the Ensemble.

95 Administrative Officer I\2010 Salary scale: 47,432 - 64,264 per annum pro rata
