About the Role

In this varied and exciting research role, you will carry out research and development activities that will contribute to a joint research project between UniSA’s Future Energy Exports Cooperative Research Centre (FEnEx CRC) and MIMOSA, titled ‘Requirements, Specifications and Piloting of Interoperable Ecosystem Cluster Management’.

You will support the development of new and innovative technologies as well as design, develop or perform evaluations on prototype systems. You will also prepare or contribute to the preparation of refereed journal publications, conference and seminar papers arising from the research.

The Industrial AI Research Centre (IAI) at UniSA represents close to a hundred researchers from Computer Science, Mathematics, and Engineering. Core Responsibilities 

  • Conduct high quality research independently and collaboratively with industry and stakeholders
  • Design, develop and perform evaluations on prototype systems that are developed together with FEnEx CRC partners or used within the FEnEx CRC context
  • Make significant contributions to refereed journal publications, conference and seminar papers arising from the research 
  • Provide advice to postgraduate students, international internship students and visiting students in the appointee’s area of expertise
  • Contribute to the teaching activities of the University, in a manner to be determined on a case-by-case basis (Research Fellow level only)

Essential Skills and Experience 

  • A PhD in Computer Science or a closely related discipline (for Research Associate and Fellow Level) and relevant research experience post PhD (for Research Fellow Level)
  • Strong track record of high-quality journal publications and conference presentations in the fields of data management, organisational IT/IS, or requirements engineering
  • Demonstrated software development skills for the purpose of developing research prototypes
  • High level experience in the design, conduct and analysis of organisational surveys
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, along with high level interpersonal skills and ability to work as an effective research team member
