Job Details
Applications are invited for a Temporary post of a Programme Management Coordinator - UCD POST within President's Office
This role will be responsible for assisting in the establishment, development and ongoing management of processes/governance within the Programme Office. These will enable the delivery of the UCD Programme for Operations and Services Transformation (UCD POST). The role reports to the UCD POST Programme Lead.
In May 2022 UCD began the mobilisation of a multi-year Programme for Operations and Services Transformation (UCD POST). The purpose of this service focused digital transformation of operations is to:
1) Create a better experience for UCD's academics, students and staff;
2) Better enable UCD's teaching, our research, our scholarship and our student and staff services;
3) Enhance the skills, capabilities, supports for, and job roles, of those who provide these processes, systems and supports
4) Better deliver UCD's strategy and ambitions; and
5) Better enable UCD to be resilient to external demands and pressures.
The programme is people-centred in order: (i) to ensure our services, processes and systems are focused on meeting the needs of the people in our community; and (ii) to use a people-centred approach to drive the integration, streamlining and simplification of supports and services.
The programme is service-focused digital transformation of operations. (The programme is not looking at the academic aspects of teaching and research). The UMT Service Group (Service Group) has been established to oversee the implementation of UCD POST.
The Programme Management Team, and hence this role, has a two-way focus: it is a key support for the Service Group and governance layer of the programme, and a key enabler of the successful delivery of the programme of work which will deliver the objectives of UCD POST.
The PMO Coordinator must ensure that the PMO is effective in its planning, reporting and management of day to day activities. The PMO Coordinator will assist and support the work of the PMO and consequently the PMO lead, Change Lead and Benefits Lead in their work driving the development and integration of UCD POST.
The post of Programme Lead is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in shaping and delivering this transformation programme. The successful candidate will have a strong record in planning, reporting and coordination of activities as well as quality assurance. The successful candidate will have a strong work ethic and will be effective in stakeholder management, highly adaptable and experienced in supporting diverse workstreams. The PMO Coordinator will be an integral part of the day to day running of the PMO. UCD POST is still in its mobilisation phase and it is expected that over time the Programme Office, and the roles within it will need to adapt to the demands of the programme.
95 Administrative Officer I\2010 Salary scale: 45,565 - 61,775 per annum
Appointment will be made on scale and in accordance with the Department of Finance guidelines.
