Applications are invited for a Temporary post of a Change Management and Communications Lead - UCD POST within President's Office

This role will be responsible for assisting the UCD Programme Management Team of the Programme for Operations and Services Transformation (UCD POST), including the establishment, development and ongoing management of the Team. The role reports to the UCD POST Programme Lead. In May 2022 UCD began the mobilisation of a multi-year Programme for Operations and Services Transformation (UCD POST).

The purpose of this service focused digital transformation of operations is to: 1) Create a better experience for UCD's academics, students and staff; 2) Better enable UCD's teaching, our research, our scholarship and our student and staff services; 3) Enhance the skills, capabilities, supports for, and job roles, of those who provide these processes, systems and supports 4) Better deliver UCD's strategy and ambitions; and 5) Better enable UCD to be resilient to external demands and pressures.

The programme is people-centred in order: (i) to ensure our services, processes and systems are focused on meeting the needs of the people in our community; and (ii) to use a people-centred approach to drive the integration, streamlining and simplification of supports and services. The programme is service-focused digital transformation of operations. (The programme is not looking at the academic aspects of teaching and research). The UMT Service Group (Service Group) oversees the implementation of UCD POST.

The Programme Management Team is responsible for the delivery of the programme, reporting to the Programme Director. The Change and Communications Lead is a member of this team. The team has a two-way focus: it is a key support for the Service Group and governance and management layer of the programme, and a is key enabler of the successful delivery of the programme of transformations which delivers the objectives of UCD POST.

The Change and Communications Lead will lead Change Management and Communication activities for the programme, ensuring outcomes and objectives for UCD POST are achieved successfully. The successful candidate will have a strong track record in Change Management and Communications. The successful candidate will have a strong work ethic and will be highly adaptable and experienced in supporting diverse workstreams.

The Change Management and Communications lead will be an integral part of the day to day running of the Programme Office. UCD POST is still in its mobilisation phase and it is expected that over time the Programme Office, and the roles within it, will need to adapt to the demands of the programme.

Salary Scale: 95 Snr Administrative Iv\2013 (2010) Salary scale: 60,517 - 96,084 per annum

Appointment will be made on scale and in accordance with the Department of Finance guidelines
