About the opportunity

The Academic Lead (Health Services Management) plays a key role in providing strategic leadership to the Health Service Management Discipline. Working closely with the School of Applied Psychology executive, including the Head of School, Deputy Head of School (Learning and Teaching) and Deputy Head of School (Research), the Academic Lead (HSM) facilitates strong research and learning and teaching cultures in the HSM discipline. The Academic Lead oversees accreditation processes and leads engagement with the state, national and international profession community. The position also acts as the Program Director for HSM programs and the HSM Discipline International Lead working closely with the School International Lead and Head of School on marketing HSM programs and activities internationally and ensuring a high quality of service and pastoral care for international students.

About You

To be successful in this role you will have a PhD in a field related to HSM with current membership or eligibility for membership as a Fellow of the Australasian College of Health Services Management. You will be known as a leading authority in managing health services and have demonstrated experience in academic leadership in teaching, research and scholarship including a strong track record and reputation in research that has measurable impact on policy and practice, has attracted national competitive research and other funding, and can contribute to an area of research strength in the School. A proven track record of attracting and successfully supervising PhD students will be important
