Job Description

Purpose:

To participate in screening and recruitment of potential patients as according to research protocol. Ensures smooth and efficient day to day operation of research and clinical services.

To actively collect qualitative samples for research studies so that the department can publish more papers in high impact journals, establish collaboration with other universities and to get more grants for funding.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Conduct and coordinate research related activities and projects in the department according to Good Clinical Practice guidelines and standard operating procedures in compliance with HBRA, other applicable regulatory and ethical requirements as well as hospital policies if applicable.
  • Assisting with the current studies mainly involving pregnant women; FORECAST(pre-eclampsia) clinical trial, Wharton’s Jelly(umbilical cord) clinical study, TOP(termination of pregnancy) research study, GSM(genitourinary) research study, MASON(Pregnancy-Risk stratification)study and etc.
  • Liaison with Principal Investigator and assisting the investigators with patient recruitment
  • Coordinate grants related to Clinical Research and other types of research
  • Ensure duties are carried out in accordance to protocol procedure
  • Screening and short listing of potential patients

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Explain protocol to patients
  • Ensure that informed consent is taken as per GCP requirement
  • Contact and schedule appointments for patients within the time frames required by protocol
  • Monitoring of treatment and provide necessary follow up patient's visits with the research subjects and collection of data
  • Maintaining proper filing and documentation of clinical trial files and electronic case report forms
  • Maintain source documentation for each patient according to protocol
  • Collect returned study products by patients and keep accountability logs
  • Identify and document Adverse Effects and obtain the PI 's signature

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Identify, document and submit protocol deviations to DSRB according to hospital and sponsor procedures
  • Collect research samples and data for different research teams in the department  (Daily)
  • Labelling and delivery of specimens in the correct conditions in the specific trial protocol
  • Meet with the Investigator and Sponsor to plan the implementation and management of the study  
  • Communicate closely with the investigators and other stakeholders to provide ancillary services for the research studies/clinical trials
  • Provide logistic and administrative support in research related matters
  • Perform any other duties as assigned by supervisor

Qualifications

  • Fresh Graduates are welcome to apply but candidates with minimum 1 year relevant experience would be preferred.
  • Degree holder in science-related field, nursing or equivalent
  • Good understanding of GCP, familiarity with research-based principles
  • Good written and communication skills. Ability to speak other languages and common dialects will be an added advantage.
  • Able to work meticulously, independently and as a team player
  • Possess strong work ethic

Computer proficiency is essential - MS Word, Powerpoint and Excel.
