We welcome applications from Research Fellows to support the advanced connectivity research group.
About the Role
As a Research Fellow you will contribute to the research and teaching activities of the Centre for Autonomous and Cyberphysical Systems, especially concerning the specific activities of: (1) research in avionics radio communications for manned and unmanned systems (especially in urban air mobility and drone) (2) develop algorithm using AI and machine learning, (3) 5G technology and Satellite communications (4) teaching in communication systems and AI embedded systems, (5) lab installation (6) engage with business and defence stakeholders to develop research projects, and (7) assist in group activities and other academics, (8) deliver high-quality of journal publications and knowledge dissemination via effective oral communication skills.
Candidates are expected to be confident and independent researchers with a PhD (or close to completion) in Telecommunication Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Avionics Communications, or relevant engineering discipline, such as Embedded system engineering.
You will also have a proven track record of publishing in high quality journals, excellent time-management skills, be able to work both independently and as part of a team and be experienced in carrying out experimental research.
