Description
The School of Theatre, Television, and Film is accepting applications for its pool of full-time and part-time temporary lecturers to teach across the graduate and undergraduate curriculum in the following specializations:
  • Scenic Design
  • Mechanical Drafting for Theatre
  • Model Making for Theatre
  • Other Scenic Technologies and Studio Skills
  • Scenic Painting for Theatre
  • Digital Painting for Theatre
  • Projection and Integrated Media Design
  • Creating video content for Projection and Integrated Media Design


Qualifications
Candidates should have earned a Terminal degree in Scenic Design, Theatrical Design, Design and Technology, or Projection Design, and have at least five years full-time professional experience.

Preferred Qualifications Desired: Terminal degree in Scenic Design, Theatrical Design, Design and Technology, or Projection Design with teaching experience at the university level; experience in individualized instruction; sensitivity to underrepresented populations in the university preferred.

Compensation

The salary schedule information for the Lecturer – 12 month Classification is available based on the following ranges:

Lecturer A (Range 2 ) - $5,168 – 6,946

Lecturer B (Range 3) - $6,190 – 13,797

Lecturer C (Range 4) - $7,102 – 15,145

Lecturer D (Range 5) - $8,964 – 15,864

The anticipated hiring range is generally at or near the minimum of the appropriate range, commensurate with education and experience.
