The School of Nursing at Columbus State University graduates a diverse body of nearly 150 students annually. It offers a traditional BSN for students seeking a RN license and three online degree programs: a RN-BSN for licensed RNs with an Associate degree; a Master's of Science in Nursing (education, leadership, and information tracks); and a Master's of Science in Nursing in Family Nurse Practitioner. Both MSN programs are offered in collaboration with Georgia Southwestern State University. International opportunities are available with study abroad in Ireland, and student service in trips. Currently, over 85 percent of our nursing graduates pass the NCLEX, the National Nursing Licensure Exam, a testament to the quality of the program and faculty.

Job Summary
The position of part-time instructor of nursing is a non-tenure track faculty position in the School of Nursing within the College of Education and Health Professions.
Responsibilities
This position requires certification as a family nurse practitioner in Georgia. The successful candidate will teach in the FNP graduate program; mentor FNP students; maintain clinical practice as a FNP on a part-time basis; contribute to scholarly activity in the field; perform activities necessary to enhance the school, college, and university's mission; and possess an understanding of technology as a tool for effective teaching.
Required Qualifications
A Master's degree in nursing from a family nurse practitioner program (FNP), a valid nursing & APRN license in Georgia are required (if valid in another state, must obtain licensure in Georgia). National certification as a FNP, a minimum of one year of practice as a FNP as well as current practice as a FNP are required. Previous teaching experience in college or university setting is preferred.
Preference will be given to candidates who have evidence of successful teaching at the college level in both traditional and online environments.
