About the Role

In this varied, research leadership role, you will make an independent and original contribution to research in the area of relevant and applied business research. You will develop, engage in and lead research projects that are related to the development of choice modelling methods and their application to transport, land use and other empirical contexts. As the Senior Research Fellow, you will develop high-quality, productivity-driven research networks with local, national and global partners, attracting research funding and producing high quality research outputs.

Core Responsibilities

  • Develop research on choice modelling, both within and beyond chosen substantive disciplinary boundaries (e.g. transport, land use, labour markets, environment and resources)
  • Pursue academic research funding and grant opportunities with government agencies and industry partners
  • Manage research activity and milestones, and undertake an active research and publication program
  • Mentor and manage PhD and post-doctoral students and offer technical training to both academic and professional staff as appropriate 

Essential Skills and Experience

  • Relevant doctoral degree in applied economics, econometrics, or relevant field
  • Evidence of research experience involving survey design, analysis and interpretation of choice
  • Established record of research and intellectual contributions to choice modelling, including high-quality peer reviewed journal articles or equivalent publications
  • Experience with at least one of the following software packages: Biogeme, STATA, SAS, R, Matlab, Gauss, Nlogit
  • Demonstrated experience and record of providing supervision to HDR students
