Job Purpose

Reporting to the Program Director of CME, the Coordinator of CME at Khalifa University’s College of Medicine and Health Sciences (CMHS) supports the day to day operations of the Department of CME and the development and management of CME activities by the CMHS

Key Roles & Responsibilities

Operational Responsibilities

  • Ensures that the activities of the office are in alignment with relevant CME accreditation guidelines example DOH, ACCME.
  • Functions as a coordinator for all CME activities sponsored by or in partnership with CMHS
  • Works with Program Director of CME and stakeholders to identify topics based on needs assessment
  • Functions as a registrar for all conferences, handling attendance records, evaluations and distribution of CME credit
  • Works with Program Director for CME in developing, distributing, collecting and evaluation forms
  • Works with Program Director for CME in developing content and managing distribution of publicity for CME activities
  • Provides office support under the direction of the Program Director of CME
  • Assists in liaison with other stakeholders and the university community in regard to CME matters
  • Provides information or prepares reports as and when needed.

General

  • Ensures adherence to the University's information security policies and procedures, and reports breaches or other security risks accordingly.
  • Ensures coordination with other departments to facilitate the accomplishment of tasks and responsibilities, as and when needed.
  • Performs any other tasks assigned by the Associate Den and his line managers.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of Bachelor’s degree

Preferred Qualification

  • Master’s degree in healthcare related field

Experience

Expats: 

Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a healthcare setting

UAE Nationals: 

A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience

Required Experiences

  • Ability to relate to health care professionals and work under time constraints.
  • Excellent Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), as well as client relations and data management programs
  • Ability to work on some weekends when conferences are held.
  • Ability to travel outside of Abu Dhabi to UAE or regional conferences.

Preferred Experiences

  • Familiarity or experience with CME
