About the role:

As the Lecturer (Academic Level B) you will be a crucial contributor to the design and delivery of programs, high quality research and/or industry engagement and support of the School and students via specified academic administration and advisory roles.

As the Senior Lecturer (Academic Level C) you will play a key academic role with a leadership dimension. You will be expected to contribute to the academic governance of the School and programs within the School in a range of roles such as National Lecturer in Charge, Course Coordinator and Course Advisor.

You will need to have:

  • A doctorate or substantial progress towards the attainment of a doctoral degree (or equivalent) in of Human Resource Management discipline. Applicants with substantial industry experience and a master's qualification may be considered on the basis of completing a doctoral qualification as part of the probation process. Current membership of the AHRI, IM&L or equivalent professional association.
  • An understanding of, and commitment to, the mission of the university and capacity to embed the mission into disciplinary activities with a focus on teaching and research.
  • Evidence of high-quality innovative teaching that builds on reflective practice and the nexus between teaching and research across delivery modes e.g., face to face, online and/or blended in Human Resource Management.
  • An emerging coherent program of quality research in Human Resource Management with a focus on high quality research publications in journals ranked as A or A* by the Australia Business Deans Council and/or commercial research with industry impact.
  • Experience in, or capacity to develop skills in curriculum design and development undergraduate and postgraduate courses across multiple delivery modes.
  • A doctorate in Human Resource Management discipline. Current membership of the AHRI, IM&L or equivalent professional association.
  • An understanding of, and commitment to, the mission of the university and capacity to embed the mission into disciplinary activities with a focus on teaching and research.
  • Evidence of high-quality innovative teaching that builds on reflective practice and the nexus between teaching and research across delivery modes e.g., face to face, online and/or blended in Human Resource Management.
  • A coherent program of quality research in Human Resource Management with a focus on high quality research publications in journals ranked as A or A* by the Australia Business Deans Council and/or commercial research with industry impact.
  • Experience in curriculum design and development undergraduate and postgraduate courses across multiple delivery modes.
  • Contribution to course development and/or course reviews Knowledge - knowledge of accreditation processes either at a disciplinary/professional level or for international accreditation such as AACSB or EFMD.
  • Experience in the leadership and management of academic staff in either teaching or research teams.

  • Total remuneration valued to $158,014 - $171,555 total rem (pro rata) pa, including salary component $133,726 - $145,299 (pro rata) pa (Academic Level C), employer contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading, OR $$126,303 - $148,988 total rem pa, including salary component $106,728 - $126,011 pa (Academic Level B). The level of appointment will be determined based on the level of experience, capability and research standing of the successful candidate.
  • 17% employer superannuation contributions to eligible continuing and fixed-term staff (we provide choice of fund in accordance with relevant legislation, with the University's nominated default superannuation provider as UniSuper).
  • Annual leave loading of an equivalent to 17.5% of four weeks' salary pro rata payable, dependent on your commencement date.
