Applications are invited for appointment as Post-doctoral Fellow in the Department of Clinical Oncology, School of Clinical Medicine (Ref.: 517408) (to commence as soon as possible for one to two years, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance)

Applicants should have a Ph.D. degree in Bioinformatics, Computer science, Biostatistics, Biomedical Sciences, or related disciplines, with experience in working with statistical modeling and/or genomic sequencing data analysis preferred. Preference will be given to those with research experience in cancer bioinformatics, cancer biology, cancer immunology, and cellular/molecular biology. Applicants should be self-motivated, organized, able to work independently and in a team, and multi-task with good attention to detail. They should have good interpersonal skills. Working knowledge of R and/or Python is a must. Familiarity with Linux, Bash, and the command line is preferred. Publications demonstrating genome data analysis and visualization skills would be an advantage.

The appointee will join a multidisciplinary team to study adult solid cancer and precision oncology. He/She will perform bioinformatics analysis, coordinate and communicate research with collaborators, write reports and scientific publications, and supervise postgraduate students. The appointee will conduct research under the guidance of Dr. Aya El Helali at the School of Clinical Medicine and Dr. Jason Wong at the School of Biomedical Science.
