An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Partnership Officer at the National Biofilms Innovation Centre (NBIC).  As a critical member of the NBIC Operational Team, you will provide effective project management support to NBIC held awards and funding which will be invested in projects and activities that further the knowledge exchange and impact of our research outputs and support the delivery of NBIC’s Vision.

Support the Chief Executive Officer and NBIC Operational Team, in:

  • driving forward Innovation activities across NBIC
  • delivering the NBIC membership scheme and UK Biofilms Foundation
  • organising events to facilitate interactions with industry (research collaborations, knowledge, and technology transfer)
  • identifying and promoting the positive impact and success of NBIC activities both internally and externally

In response to the biofilm impact on the worldwide economy, UKRI has funded NBIC which is an Innovation Knowledge Centre (IKC). NBIC aim is to connect scientists specialising in Biofilms across the UK, and to provide a mechanism for industrial partners to explore their unmet needs with our researchers. 

You will be an excellent team player with a proven ability to work proactively. You will be well organised and adaptable taking a positive approach to managing a busy and complex workload. Excellent communication, organisational and interpersonal skills are required as is commitment to identifying and measuring the positive impact and success of NBIC activities both internally and externally.

You ideally would have knowledge of Key Performance Indicators using in measuring the impact of innovation and research in the UK.  You will have proven ability to work with multiple stakeholders from both academia and industry sectors. The successful candidate will be able to communicate new and complex information effectively, both verbally and in writing.
