The University of East London is a vibrant and diverse university located in Stratford and Royal Albert Dock, at the heart of the industrial and creative shift east. Our Vision 2028 is an ambitious 10-year strategy that will position the University at the forefront of careers-led education – a springboard for the jobs, innovations and opportunities of the future. We are committed to advancing knowledge and driving innovation for positive change for people and the planet.

Having established a strong profile in the education of future health workers, UEL now wishes to develop a profile in medical education. Given the continuing calls for the further expansion of medical student numbers, we are considering the potential for a medical school at UEL, as well as exploring other options that will enable UEL to make a unique and highly valued contribution to medical education.

We are now seeking to appoint a Professor of Medical Education to lead the academic development of our offer in medical education. Reporting to the Dean of Medical Education and working closely with the Dean of the School of Health, Sport and Bioscience, the Professor will shape of the University’s offer in medical education and provide effective leadership to the teams involved in the development, delivery and review of the University’s offer.

You will be clinically qualified, registered and in good standing with the GMC and will be in clinical practice (or clinically active within the last five years).
