Assistant Lecturer in the Department of Urban Planning and Design (Ref.: 517372) (to commence as soon as possible, on a two-year fixed-term basis with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 10% of basic salary, with the possibility of renewal)

Applicants should have a Doctoral degree in Urban Studies and Planning, and preferably with a minimum of one-year’s teaching experience (or equivalent) at tertiary level.  They should also have knowledge and experience in developing teaching materials, delivering formal lectures, developing appropriate scholarship related to teaching interests, and have an excellent command of spoken and written English and Chinese, including Putonghua.

The appointee will substantially contribute to teaching, tutoring and the coordination of Master’s and Bachelor’s degree courses, provide a high level of administrative assistance to Programme Directors, and perform other duties as assigned by the Head of the Department or his/her delegates.
