The Opportunity

As a Senior Lecturer/ Associate Professor in Pharmacy, you will have the unique opportunity shape the undergraduate Pharmacy program. Using your innovative teaching and learning skills and leadership, you will have the opportunity to enhance the discipline and curriculum.

This role opens the opportunity for you to play an active part in establishing a vibrant, enthusiastic, positive professional environment. As a Senior Lecturer you will support the mentorship and supervision of junior colleagues in the discipline.

In this role you will benefit from the ongoing support of the pharmacy profession in the region with strong engagement with community and hospital pharmacists. The School’s interdisciplinary way of working will give you an opportunity to engage and collaborate with a broad variety of professionals across the University and industry partners.

It will be a requirement to undertake contemporary research in Pharmacy, aligned to one of the School’s Research Themes which include Immunology, Cancer, Nutrition, Exercise and Cardiovascular Disease, Neuroscience, Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Science and Reproductive Science.

This full-time continuing position is located at the Callaghan Campus on Awabakal Land.

About You 

You will have:

  • A PhD qualification in Pharmacy or a related discipline
  • Current general registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency as a Pharmacist
  • Contemporary knowledge and experience with pharmacy practice and the Australian healthcare system
  • Proven experience in high level, quality teaching experience and leadership with a proven track record high student satisfaction scores
  • A strong record of research and high-quality publications
  • Demonstrated experience in supervising Higher Degree by Research students
  • A solid record of establishing and maintaining partnerships and collaborations

The remuneration for this position is a Level C from $126,446 to $145,803 or a Level D $152,252 to $167,731 plus 17 % superannuation and is commensurate with experience.
