This role is based within UCL Faculty of Brain Sciences. The Faculty's Marketing and Communications team have responsibility for student recruitment marketing, raising the profile of the Faculty's research, and internal staff communications. The team works closely with colleagues across the Faculty and UCL to advise on all aspects of marketing communications.
About the role
The Digital Content Editor will ensure digital content is creative and aspirational, representative of UCL's world-class university position, and well placed both strategically and tactically across a range of defined channels, in line with the Faculty Marketing and Communications strategy.
The post-holder will shape, develop, manage and deliver a range of compelling strategic and tactical digital content, working with colleagues to promote the Faculty and its constituent Institutes and Divisions.
The post-holder will also ensure colleagues are kept abreast of innovation and developments in the art of digital content production and editorial, providing support and guidance as required.
- This role is eligible for hybrid working with a minimum of 40% on site.

About you
The ideal candidate will have:
- Demonstrated digital content production experience in a complex stakeholder environment.
- Strong understanding of the rapidly developing digital landscape and the relationships between SEO, paid activity, content and social media marketing.
- Substantial experience of working with cross channel media as well as reputation building in a digital environment.
- Experience of using analytics and insights from tools like SiteImprove and KeySearch to improve engagement and reach on digital platforms.
- Ability to translate highly complex messages and stories in a way that is digitally consumable, and if appropriate, newsworthy to target audiences.
- Ability to establish priorities and manage multiple, and sometimes competing activities, to anticipate and meet organisational priorities in a pressurised environment.
