Due to continued growth in student and apprentice numbers, the School of Health Sciences is seeking to appoint 3 adult nurses to teach across our pre-registration adult nursing programmes. We also have opportunities for nurses who are advanced clinical practitioners to contribute to teaching on a range of courses including our ACP and physician associate programmes.
If appointed, you will join a highly successful and vibrant faculty. Our adult nursing programme is number one in the UK for student satisfaction with an overall satisfaction score of 99%. Our other nursing programmes are also ranked within the top 10 nationally for student satisfaction. You will also have opportunity to participate in research and knowledge exchange activities coordinated by the Faculty’s Institute of Lifecourse Development (ILD). The ILD brings together researchers and practitioners from Health, Education and Human Sciences to tackle a range of lifecourse related issues, and has been instrumental in our recent success in the 2022 REF.
Successful applicants will have a passion for education, thrive on seeing students succeed, have ambition and an inquiring mind. You will have opportunity to complete a PGCHE and progress through our GOLD framework to achieve HEA senior fellowship, as well as contribute to faculty wide research and enterprise activities. Opportunity also exists to undertake doctoral studies through a professional doctorate or PhD programme.
