Applications are invited for appointment as Post-doctoral Fellow in the Department of Geography (Ref.: 517279), to commence as soon as possible for one year, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance and funding availability.

Applicants should possess a Ph.D. degree in geography, environmental science, computer science, or relevant fields, with a strong background in urban or coastal remote sensing applications. Knowledge and experience in large-scale urban, coast, or climate change monitoring for sustainable development using multisource remote sensing technologies are preferably desired. They should have passion in research, good communication skills, and an excellent command of written and spoken English, and a demonstrated record of publishing academic research papers.

The appointee will participate in research projects on urban and coastal monitoring using remote sensing technologies. He/She will oversee literature reviews, collect and analyze data, prepare manuscripts and reports, liaise with external parties, mentor junior research staff, and perform other research-related duties as assigned.
