Assistant Research Officer (holding the title of Assistant Social Work Officer) in the Department of Social Work and Social Administration (Ref.: 517090) (to commence as soon as possible for one year, with the possibility of renewal subject to funding availability and satisfactory performance) 

Applicants should posses a Master’s degree or equivalent qualification in social work, counselling, psychology, mental health, nursing, or healthcare-related disciplines, with at least 3 years’ significant experience in health-related research, clinical practice, training, research and/or community engagement. Registered social worker will be an advantage. They are required to work independently and as a team, self-motivated, and familiar with evidence-based services in health and mental health settings. They should also have a high proficiency of spoken and written English and Chinese (including Cantonese), and good communication skills.

The appointee will be responsible in managing practice-based research projects on family and health. Duties include conducting professional trainings and community education on family-based psychosocial intervention; conducting group interventions; implementing project evaluation; handling administrative tasks of the projects and other duties as assigned. He/She will be required to work on irregular working hours occasionally or when required.
