About the Department:

Global partnerships are a key component of  SOAS's Strategic Plan which articulates a vision for a new model of international partnerships that is responsive to the transnational character of our global challenges. There is an urgent need for partnerships that are more equitable in nature. All our challenges – pandemics, climate change, inequality, political and social polarization – cannot be resolved within the context of a single nation state. We are going to require institutional and human capacities around the world. The Global Partnerships team is responsible for providing support on developing both this new model of partnership, as well as implementing existing models of partnership. Our distinctiveness as SOAS is in the collective offering of all these forms of partnership.
