Post-doctoral Fellow in the Department of Urban Planning and Design (Ref. 517047), to commence in January 2023 for a period of 15 months, with the possibility of renewal.

Applicants should have a Ph.D. degree in Computational Social Science, Urban Analytics, Urban and Housing Studies, Human Geography, Public Health or other related fields with a strong research track record.  They should also have skills in both qualitative and quantitative research; excellent problem solving, analytical, communication and organizational skills; and the ability to work systematically and with others.  Preference will be given to those with skills in big data analytics, spatial modelling, and proficiency in both English and Chinese.

The appointee will work for one of the research projects related to Climate/Environmental Gentrification, Socio-spatial Inequalities, and Health Geography in the Social Infrastructure for Equity and Wellbeing Lab (SIEW Lab) under the supervision of Professor Shenjing He.  Enquires about the post can be sent to Professor Shenjing He (e-mail: sjhe@hku.hk).
