Senior Lecturer / Lecturer / Assistant Lecturer in Real Estate and Construction (several posts) in the Department of Real Estate and Construction (Ref.: 517027), to commence on January 1, 2023 or as soon as possible thereafter, on a two-year fixed-term basis, with the possibility of renewal.
Applicants should have a Ph.D. degree in the real estate or construction field, with relevant teaching experience at tertiary level or relevant work experience in the industry. Possession of relevant professional qualifications, track record in programme and curriculum development, and experience in studio-based teaching are desirable. Those with less experience may be considered for appointment as Lecturer / Assistant Lecturer. The appointees are expected to teach surveying related courses, such as asset and facilities management, project development and finance, real estate and construction economics, and safety and environmental management
The undergraduate and postgraduate programmes offered by the department are accredited by a number of international and local built environment professional bodies. The appointee will develop and teach courses at both under- and post-graduate levels, undertake course- and programme-related administrative duties, and perform other duties as assigned.
A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits. The appointment will attract a contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 15% of basic salary for Senior Lecturer / Lecturer, or up to 10% of basic salary for Assistant Lecturer. For Senior Lecturer, housing benefits will also be provided as applicable.
