Applications are invited for appointment as Clinical Professor of Practice/Clinical Associate Professor of Practice/Clinical Assistant Professor of Practice (several posts) in the Department of Paediatrics and Adolescent Medicine, School of Clinical Medicine (Ref.: 516779), to commence as soon as possible, on a four-year fixed-term basis, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance.

Applicants should possess a medical qualification registrable with the Hong Kong Medical Council and a higher professional qualification of Specialty Fellowship of the relevant Hong Kong colleges under the Hong Kong Academy of Medicine or its equivalent. They should demonstrate a strong commitment to academic clinical services and teaching, and be able to contribute to the enhancement and development of courses for the Faculty in the broad spectrum of medical and health sciences education. Proven capacity and potential in conducting research in the field of Paediatrics and Adolescent Medicine would be an advantage. Direct communication with patients is required and the languages employed are English, Cantonese and Putonghua, although teaching, research and professional activities are conducted in English. The appointee will organize teaching programmes, conduct research, and provide clinical services at the University’s teaching hospitals - Queen Mary Hospital, Duchess of Kent Children’s Hospital, Hong Kong Children’s Hospital, Gleneagles Hospital and The University of Hong Kong-Shenzhen Hospital. 

A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits.  At current rates, salaries tax does not exceed 15% of gross income.  The appointment will attract a contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 15% of basic salary.  A monthly cash allowance will be offered to the successful candidate. Housing benefits will also be provided as applicable.
