Applications are invited for appointment as Post-doctoral Fellow (PDF) in the Department of Pathology, School of Clinical Medicine (Ref.: 516796), to commence as soon as possible for two years, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance.

Applicants should possess a Ph.D. degree in biological science, biomedical sciences, bioinformatics or related disciplines. They should be self-driven, highly motivated, creative with excellent communication skills in written and spoken English and Chinese (including Cantonese). Expertise in molecular techniques especially skills in library preparation for next generation sequencing, bioinformatics and data analysis (e.g. R programming) is essential. Experience in cell culture and animal experiments would be highly desirable. 

The appointee will participate in research projects related to bone and soft tissue tumours. He/She will handle clinical samples (e.g. FFPE tissue, blood) and perform multi-omics and circulating tumour (ctDNA) analysis on various sarcomas. He/She may need to perform functional analysis of fusion proteins with cell culture and animal models. Enquiries about the duties of the post should be sent to Dr. Maximus Yeung at mcfyeung@hku.hk.
