Job Description

  • Participate in project discussions and requirement gathering with the project partner
  • Explore literature of research areas relevant
  • Design and develop the mathematical models • Design and develop the algorithms
  • Deliver and maintain project documentation and ensure all documentation being up-to-date
  • Write high-quality papers for publication at top-tier venues

Qualifications

  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree in an optimization/statistical/numerical analysis field (e.g. Operations Research, Industrial/Systems Engineering, Industrial Management and Applied Mathematics) or in Computer Science
  • Minimum one year of relevant research experience in logistics and supply chain management
  • Profound knowledge on logistics and supply chain management, mathematical optimization, machine learning and heuristic optimization techniques
  • Proficient in C++, Java or python programming
  • Demonstrated ability to drive original research
  • Good analytical, technical and problem-solving skills
  • Applicants with research publications in operations research/data mining/machine learning areas will be advantageous
  • Self-motivated individual who can work independently and also collaboratively with team members 
  • Fast learner who is able to adapt quickly to change and is eager to learn new skills/techniques and explore new topics
