Teaching Fellow, CBT for Anxiety and Depression Lead

CBT Programmes, Department of Psychology, Faculty of Social, Human and Mathematical Sciences

The Department of Psychology at the University of Southampton is seeking to appoint a clinical academic with expertise in CBT for anxiety and depression, to lead our PG Diploma in CBT (Anxiety & Depression).

You will be a Clinical Psychologist and / or BABCP accredited CBT Therapist with experience delivering CBT to people with anxiety and depression, and a working knowledge of IAPT services.

You will join our respected CBT team, which is committed to excellent training and ensuring our students are competent and confident to deliver CBT in high-pressure IAPT services. The role involves leading the PG Diploma in CBT (Anxiety & Depression), liaising with key NHS and university stakeholders, and teaching, supervising and assessing our students.

You will have a proven track record in teaching and supervision. Experience in organisational aspects of NHS service provision would be advantageous. Applicants with an interest in developing their own research programme are particularly welcome, and would be supported by colleagues working on our CBT Programmes, Doctorate in Clinical Psychology and wider Department. Applicants interested in a possible job share are also encouraged to apply.

Further details about our courses can be found here: https://www.southampton.ac.uk/psychology/cpd/index.page

The full-time (1.0FTE) post is available from August 2022. The salary is negotiable, depending on qualifications, skills and experience.
