We are now looking for a suitable person to fill the following position in the School of Science and Technology:

Assistant Lecturer / Teaching Assistant - (22001SC) 

Job: Full-time Academic
School/Unit: School of Science and Technology

Major Duties and Responsibilities

The appointee will be responsible mainly for the following:

  • Undertaking the delivery of courses (including classroom/laboratory/field  teaching);
  • Marking of assignments, tests and examinations;
  • Providing academic support and performing teaching-related and administrative duties;
  • Engaging in scholarly activities and student development activities; and
  • Participating in School / University activities and administration.

Candidates

Candidates should possess the following qualifications, experience and competence:

  • A recognized Bachelor’s or Master degree in Applied Science, Biology, Chemistry, Environmental Science or a related discipline;
  • Competence in teaching and course administration;
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to use English as the medium of instruction;
  • Highly motivated with excellent interpersonal, communication, and teamwork skills;
  • Passionate in student development and training; and
  • Experience in coaching students and leading co-curricular activities will be an advantage.
