About You

You will provide subject matter expertise and high-level capability building support to enable large-scale implementation of learning and teaching transformation initiatives and activities. You work strategically and collaboratively with colleges and schools, and at pace and scale, to drive academic and teaching capability to apply and implement innovative pedagogical design and delivery including frameworks, guidance and resources.

You will support RMIT wide capability building aligned to RMIT's strategic directions and educational strategy through the development and running of key educator development program of works as well as coordinating and supporting across the University local needs in building educator capability. The role will support the development of key resources for educators as well as contributing to key workforce changes and support based on the strategic direction of the University to ensure best practice to support educators and inspire students.

To be successful in this position, you'll have:

  • Demonstrated experience in curriculum and pedagogical development and enhancement to educators across a tertiary institution.
  • An ability to engage in and facilitate collaboration and co-design with university stakeholders, including education and professional staff.
  • Proven experience in influencing outcomes and providing impactful, high-level advice to academic and teaching staff.
  • Experience in planning, developing, facilitating and/or reviewing professional development programs, activities and services to build institutional capacity and individual capability in learning and teaching.at scale and in a fast paced and complex environment.
  • A high-level understanding of contemporary best practice in education in relation to the development of teacher expertise and professional learning programs.
  • Proven experience and skills in formal report writing and communications associated with strategic and operational initiatives.
