The school comprises three main research clusters: The Surrey Centre for Law and Philosophy, the Surrey Centre for International and Environmental Law and our Law and Technology Hub. Our ethos is a warm and collegial one that encourages reflection and engagement with research and pedagogy.  Staff are given generous time to develop their interest in both aspects of academic life.

We seek to appoint a Lecturer or Senior Lecturer with a background in Environmental Law to a teaching and research position.

All applicants should have;

  • A PhD or be close to completing their doctoral studies.  
  • There is an expectation that the appointee will have an outstanding research profile for their level with a demonstrated ability to produce world-leading publications, good prospects for capturing grant income.
  • The ability and interest to contribute excellent teaching on subjects within the core undergraduate curriculum in Law.
