About the opportunity 

The Faculty of Medicine and Health, Education team has an outstanding opportunity for a talented Education Designer (Assessment) to join the authentic assessment project to implement a new assessment portfolio system - Kaizen, Fry-It. The Education Designer (Assessment) will work closely with our academics and teaching staff, as well as the project team, to develop an understanding of their assessment needs, and provide design solutions that will see paper-based workflow transformed to a digital. You will also run workshops and build communities of practice within the School and across the Faculty.

The Education Designer (Assessment) will work within a strong, supportive team to deliver industry best practice, feedback and assessment workflows for the delivery of our courses. 

About you

  • proficient in the use of an LMS, and other education design tools
  • demonstrated ability to learn a new system quickly and then teach others
  • can design text and video support materials for a diverse range of stakeholders

  • holds a tertiary qualification in education and or information technology or equivalent work experience
  • demonstrates the ability to build trusted, positive professional relationships.

Please note: Visa sponsorship is not available for this position. For a continuing position, you must be an Australian or New Zealand citizen or an Australian Permanent Resident.

Australian Temporary Residents currently employed at the University of Sydney may be considered for a fixed term contract for the length of their visa, depending on the requirements of the hiring area and the position.
