Applications are invited for appointment as Post-doctoral Fellow in the School of Biological Sciences (Ref.: 516746), to commence on or before January 1, 2023 for one year, with the possibility of renewal.

Applicants should possess a Ph.D. degree in ecology, remote sensing, conservation biology, or a related field.  They should have a strong track record of research and publications, and experience in working with large, interdisciplinary research teams.

The appointee will work under the supervision of Dr. Timothy Bonebrake at the Global Change and Tropical Conservation Labin the School of Biological Sciences. More information can be found at tropicalconslab.com. He/She will also be co-supervised by Dr. Jin Wu of the Global Ecology and Remote Sensing Lab (https://wu-jin.weebly.com/).

The appointee will work on the research topic of climate change and community dynamics of Hong Kong butterflies.  The research will involve field work in Hong Kong on butterflies but the primary role will be modeling species distributions and landscape analyses employing remote sensing techniques (e.g. Lidar).
